The FRITZ!Box 4060 with innovative Wi-Fi 6 (Wireless AX) brings ultra-fast Wi-Fi to the home network. Wi-Fi 6 is faster and much more efficient: The FRITZ!Box 4060 masters multiple parallel applications like 4k streams, video conferences and cloud applications effortlessly. As a tri-band wireless router with up to 6000 Mbit/s data throughput and a 2.5-gigabit LAN connection, the FRITZ!Box provides large performance reserves for the most demanding applications and is perfect for a very fast fiber or cable internet connection. When it comes to VPN and USB, it significantly exceeds the gigabit threshold. A DECT base station for cordless telephony and smart home applications completes the versatile communications package in the home network.

Innovative Wi-Fi 6 for a Wi-Fi network with many terminal devices

In addition to smartphones, notebooks, TVs and game consoles, ever more household and smart home devices are designed for wireless connections – ideal for Wi-Fi 6. Through reduced latencies and new modulation schemes, Wi-Fi 6 enables more efficiency, higher speeds, and better Wi-Fi coverage in the home. Overall, the FRITZ!Box 4060 achieves a usable data rate of up to 6000 Mbit/s in the wireless home network with three Wi-Fi bands (2 x 2400 Mbit/s in the 5-GHz band + 1200 Mbit/s in the 2.4-GHz band).

A powerful hub for Mesh Wi-Fi

As a Mesh Wi-Fi hub, the FRITZ!Box 4060 ensures optimal Wi-Fi quality for all wireless activities in the entire home network. In the Mesh Wi-Fi, FRITZ! devices (e.g. a FRITZ!Box and multiple FRITZ!Repeaters) are combined into one single intelligent Wi-Fi network. The FRITZ!Box 4060 acts as the hub (Mesh Master) and actively controls all FRITZ!Repeaters. With its three bands, the FRITZ!Repeater 6000 is the perfect partner for the FRITZ!Box 4060. The distributed FRITZ! devices communicate with each other to optimize the performance of entire home network. Mobile terminal devices switch between FRITZ!Box and FRITZ!Repeater automatically, without any interruption to active applications.

A versatile smart home and convenient telephony

Smart home devices like the FRITZ!DECT 301 radiator control, the FRITZ!DECT 200/210 smart plugs, the FRITZ!DECT 440 smart switch and the FRITZ!DECT 500 LED light are controlled via the integrated DECT base station. Up to six DECT cordless phones (e.g. FRITZ!Fon) can be registered on the DECT base station. Via Wi‑Fi, even smartphones can be transformed into full-service VoIP phones. Multiple integrated answering machines, local phone books and online phone contacts, and a slew of convenience features round out the broad telephony palette.

Versatile multimedia functions

The FRITZ!Box 4060 also brings connected USB storage media into the home network as well as online storage media and all of the contents stored there. Thanks to the integrated media server with NAS connection, music and pictures are made available and can be distributed to playback devices, for example via a tablet or smartphone. This makes the FRITZ!Box 4060 a powerful and efficient platform for networked multimedia applications like IPTV, video on demand and 4K streaming.
